Senior Project Manager/Management Consultant
After completing over twelve years service in the Canadian Armed Forces (initially as an infantryman, and leaving the service as a Communications and Electronics Engineering Officer) Stephen moved to private industry where he was employed as a Director of Information Technology, Director of Operations and Chief Information Officer for a number of companies before finally electing to become a consultant in 2000.
Since then he’s served as a senior management consultant, project/program manager, business analyst/solution architect and a change management consultant in a number of industries and organizations – including one of the big-5 consulting firms.
These industries and organizations have included the airline, railway, telecommunications, and banking/financial sectors as well as the Canadian and US Governments, with clients such as:
- Aeroplan
- Air Canada
- Butterfield Bank of Bermuda
- National Bank Financial Group Canada
- Shared Services Canada (Federal Government)
- SITA
- Teleglobe/VSNL International/TATA Communications, India
- The Central Bank of Canada
- The United States Security and Exchange Commission

- TIW, France/Canada and wAura, Brazil (in a joint venture)
Steve has been a guest speaker and analyst for a number of IT research/investment firms, universities/colleges and CGEPs and was also requested to speak to a special cabinet review by the Government of Quebec. He has also served as an instructor and coach within both public and private educational institutions on a variety of subjects including project management, various IT/project management applications/systems, problem solving/analysis techniques and on leadership and team building.
Having a Bachelor’s Degree in Computers and Information Sciences from Queen’s University in Kingston, Steve has enjoyed working on a number of national and international level projects, both remotely and in person, and has worked in Canada, the United States, Brazil and Bermuda.
In addition to project/program management, Steve’s specialties include leadership, service management, business process development – and most recently – a new specialization security, with the awarding of the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) accreditation in 2011.
